Curriculum
We've started some changes in the curriculum.
Writing 7 is being rewritten and will be less academic.
Speaking will have a new "Super 6" level because students find the jump from 6 to 7 too big, and as exact levels are more critical in speaking.
Lastly there's a new "Pronunciation Plus" program. While our regular Pronunciation is a circular program, this new course has more difficult material to challenge students who make a big improvement or are here for 6 months or more.
Student Activity Days
Instead of whole school activities, we're going to try specialized workshops. Students can sign up for what they would like to do. Examples include 'Canadian Music', 'Haida Drawing', 'A Movie', 'Dancing', etc. Of course we'll still have free pizza!!!
Soccer
As you know Rangers didn't get past the third round of the Champion's League and don't even qualify for the UEFA cup. It's dissapointing for a team that was in the UEFA cup final just three months ago. It's a sad and bleak time.
Associate Members
Peanut (the dog) is no longer with us, but every Friday we have a baby. He's called Edward, he's one year old and he's very cute!
