It's 12:37 on a Thursday afternoon. In the staff room, the teachers are discussing how irritating it is to teach a class where the students don't respond voluntarily to questions or willingly give answers. PLEASE! When a teacher says good morning, respond! Even if we aren't addressing you directly, doesn't mean you shouldn't answer. In fact, in Canada it's considered rude NOT to respond or voluntarily reply to anything that we say in class. The more you speak and participate in class the better! Of course, your English can only improve when you try and it doesn't matter if it's perfect. That's why you're here! Perfection doesn't matter. Effective communication does.
So, help us out and speak your minds. We all appreciate it!
